I Have Changed

First off, let me say thank you Similar Worlds for importing my stories and groups from the Experience Project.
Secondly, let me say... "Whoa, I was so dumb!"
Oh my gosh, I just read two old stories from 2015, and as I was reading the words my face was torn between the hot heat of embarrassment and a cringing wince of mortification. I'm happy to know that my thoughts have developed from that time (I was clearly more sexually-preoccupied and self-loathing), but it's still embarrassing to look back and know that was me.
I really don't know what else to say. I'm wondering if I should even continue writing online now that I realize I can look back at what I've written and shudder at the lack of knowledge that I have presented.
I don't know. Maybe it will be a good thing.
Perhaps, instead of wallowing in my insecurities about the past, I can take this opportunity to appreciate the development that I've undergone to reach the place that I'm at now.
Wow... that was a hard pill to swallow.

if it's not too late … i'd encourage you to keep the old stories … and, if you find the courage someday, share them with the world. of course … at the bottom corner, make sure you add the original date of the narrative.

they may, in fact, be embarrassing/mortifying only to yourself … and may prove enlightening to others.

@muffinman Thank you. I appreciate this feedback, and you weren't too late! They're still listed on my profile. I would like to hope that you are right. It would be nice if they could inspire/enlighten someone else someday.

I think it's nice to see how much I've grown. My oldest story that came over was from Sept 2009 ... I've been through a TON since then. I wish the blogs could come in.

@Starcrossed Yes, that's true. Seeing the growth is a nice result of looking back at old posts. Sorry you couldn't get the blogs too!

@wtfgirl001 I have them as a txt or csv, I just wish I could repost them here.

Been there. Life is a growing process. Though you may grow wiser, you'll never be more perfect than now. Don't hesitate to do what you love. Time is fleeting

@DanielChristensen Wonderful advice. Thank you!

I know exactly how you feel! But as you said. Clearly you’ve done some growing so just try to focus on that!

@Bearserks Thanks, so true! I'll keep my focus on the positive. :)
