My car is getting inspected and

If my car were to fail inspection, would you think that they'd call me sooner rather than later? So if I get a call at 3 or 4pm, it wouldn't be for them to say, well you passed emissions but failed inspection. All my lights work, fluids are fine, only thing it really needs is oil change, exhaust leak fixed which is the flex pipe but I told them about that.

I'm really stressing out about it :(

EDIT: I'm still waiting for the call :( If it doesn't pass, I won't have a car 😢

I took my car in yesterday for a 130,000 mile service...(it hadn't even hit 120.000 miles), and it didn't pass. I need two new front tires. They have to order them from Ohio...and they won't arrive until next week, which will put me into April.

I was told that because of Covid19, my state is expanding the inspection allowance an additional 30 days, so I won't be stopped.

Failing inspection is no big deal, anyway. Even if they slap a rejection sticker on your car, you have 30 days, legally, to fix it.

@4meAndyou Here, you don't get a rejection sticker. My car is due for emissions and inspection on 4/21. That's anytime in April this year. If it fails or passes, you still have to pay the amount due for the inspection. Then, you have to get the car fixed before you can bring it back in for inspection.

And in this state, I've never heard anything about extensions on inspection. And, if you're passing a cop, the inspection sticker on your windshield is a special sticker that cops can scan, without pulling you over, to validate the sticker, if it's an actual inspection sticker (because of fakes)

@twiigss It sounds like you have plenty of time. You might want to ask yourself why you are so stressed. I am wondering if your life, in general, is very stressful, and this is just one more thing.

@4meAndyou Yep. This is just one more thing that adds to the stress :( April is almost over, so I don't have anytime because my mechanic is two weeks out with appointments. I made the appointment for today, back on April 12th. If it fails today, I don't know how I'll get around without a car.
