I always loved the ideas of those, though being over 6' didn't help, as often lower ceiling.
Also, need to make sure heat and AC get up there, or you might be freezing in the winter and burning in the summer, as that area, unless specifically designed, usually has horrible air flow and less temper control.
Plus, possible unwanted pets (bugs, spiders, etc).

Those are lovely. We did ours in our old house as a den for our son. We couldnt officially use it as a bedroom because it didnt have a proper staircase. I hope you get chance to get your own space!
I did something like that for my boys. I turned it into a play room for all there games and toys. Made a lot of space in there bedroom so the bunk beds went and they had there own space
@AmmieBell Attic rooms are amazing. I used to share a room with siblings, then I got to move into an attic room at my grandparents house. It didn't look nearly as cool as all of these ones... I hope you get permission now you're an adult
@AmmieBell you may think you can pretend to be all alone. With that many around, I doubt you'll get as much time to yourself as you'd think. Or at least that you'd hope.
