I Say Today Is Not My Day

Today is not my day and I'm starting to wonder how much longer this will continue. I'm so over waking up and regretting what isn't. I'm grateful for my lovely home, family and friends...but I feel worthless and useless to everyone. I expect so much for myself and just want to know if it's worth going forward with creating visions/vision boards, new goals, a more positive attitude. For what? Nothing even matters.

As bad as things may seem and as low as drive and passion can get for what you love in life, you always have to push yourself forward. Not for others, for fame, fortune or what have you, but for yourself. It's not always easy and may not always seem worth it but you have to try and do what you love for the love of it.

@thepixiestixs How about that, something we have in common. I just don't have a degree. I just love writing.

@ArtisticStatic I don't really think a degree helps anyway. It just means you were able to sit in your seat for 4+ years. Lol. Why so?

@thepixiestixs I can sit in a seat with the best of them. I just don't want to pay to do it. lol. I love writing because I love to create characters, worlds and situations. Fantastical and far reaching. It's one of the things in life that brings me joy. Why do you love it?

Perhaps your goals require too big of steps. And your expectations are unrealistic. Rome wasn’t created ina day. Take a look at what your goals are. Break them down into milestones in time. Then concentrate on each milestone in order. It’s far less overwhelming and much easier to achieve. Good luck!

@Livingwell You know what, I never thought about it that way. Thank you for that. I have a goal board and realize how easy it is to ignore it because they're too broad or too much so to say. Thank you!

@thepixiestixs You’re very welcome. I do big projects and often times have to break things down into smaller tasks myself. Just stay focused. Give yourself little breaks. And keep at it! You will succeed. 🤗

So, what are you doing about it?
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@thepixiestixs that's great .. often too many people complain but don't do anything to change ... Now all you have to do is decide where you want to go and start moving .. Good luck
thepixiestixs · 26-30, F
@ozgirl512 Thank you! I need to really figure that out and soon.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@thepixiestixs not necessarily .. you've made a start and that's the hardest part .. often picking a direction when you're not sure can be like putting on blinkers.. you may not see other alternatives ... Think of your dreams and keep your eyes open ;)

I struggle with feeling unimportant as well
thepixiestixs · 26-30, F
@rosyhills You're important and you matter. Sometimes we have to sit back and let others speak for us. Can guarantee you're positively impacting at least one person's life. Don't doubt it.

@thepixiestixs thank you. Wish I knew who that one person was
