I get really annoyed when people bring up politics on unrelated threads

I know I'm gonna stir up the hornet's nest with this one and I'm generally ok with Americans as a whole, however this one thing always irks me so badly. For some reason no matter what the discussion is about some people will always mention Trump or Obama or I don't know who, even if the topic has absolutely nothing to do with anything political, like this other day when I saw a post on facebook " what shows that a man has insecurities " and so many people said things like "wearing a MAGA hat", "voting for Trump" it's just so annoying how some people are so obsessed with this. Does anyone else feel that way?

I'm very political and even I fucking hate that. I'll make a post about sports or music or video games or the fucking weather and I'll get someone wanting to tie it to politics somehow.

@BlueMetalChick Right? You'd ask what flavor of ice cream is least liked and someone'd say THE ICE CREAM OF CHOICE OF XYZ SUPPORTERS! jeez....

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I made a post about three weeks ago raging at Halo because my stupid AI controlled allies kept throwing grenades at random and killing me, and I said something like "Stupid fucking friendly AI need to stop lobbing frags for no reason and killing me" and someone commented "You mean like how Biden and Harris wanna let trans activists kill straight people?" Like, are you fucking bored yet?

@BlueMetalChick And I bet that just pissed you off to the point your eye started twitching?
Also you like Halo too? I got the MC collection and play H4 spartan missions or co-op with friends too, I love the sick looking armor I designed for Halo 4

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I've been a devoted Halo fan since all the way back when CE was released in 2001. It's my favorite game series.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick I was going to be one from an early age too if they didnt stick to consoles, that broke my heart as I wasn't ever gonna get one, now things changed since the PC collection.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Honestly, at times I'm still too chickenshit to play 343 guilty spark on Halo CE all by my lonesome
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic FPS games are born and bred for consoles. You wouldn't catch me dead playing Halo on a PC lmao
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick I'm the polar opposite, you couldn't catch me dead playing a FPS game with a controller, I live by the mouse, die by the mouse.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I actually didn't play 343 Guilty Spark until well into my teen years. I got as far as the Silent Cartographer on Halo CE but then I was prevented from progressing any further because my game disc was damaged. At my birthday party, a classmate named Ryan Pienacha told me he was better than me at Halo so we battled it out in multiplayer and I won. He was so angry that he took the disc out of the Xbox and bit on it with his mouth. It scratched the disc up and caused a glitch that prevented me from completing a necessary objecting on Silent Cartographer. By the time I got a new disc, Halo 2 had come out and I got distracted playing it. When I was like 16 I finally went back and replayed Halo 1 from beginning to end.

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Keyboard and mouse are great for anything top-down, for strategy games, world building games, stuff like that. But anything that's FPS, racer, or third person shooters like Ratchet & Clank are made for consoles.

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Oh yes, PC master race. The machine you paid exponentially more money for, with no ability to co-op and no backwards compatibility for playing older titles. Not to mention you have to pay more money for your games.

The Master Race. It's like consoles, but worse.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Best not get into topic whether games are made for consoles or PC :D Let's not ruin a pleasant conversation..... :D

The silent cartographer wasn't one of my favorites, that elite zealot that is released after the security is off always used to get me, but one of my favorite levels is the next one, the battle for the control room where I beat the game at it's own.... well game by getting the banshies on the bridge that the elites are supposed to enter in and skip the long way down and directly go to the room.

@BlueMetalChick a classic battle between console and pc, I haven’t seen one of those since 2001 😂
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Yes but the PC's only purpose is not to play games and also modding, oh sweeet sweet wonderful modding.......
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Now see, I actually have a very negative opinion of modding. I know that seems counterintuitive, but what pisses me off about modding is that, as it's become more popular and more commonplace, game devs have gotten so much lazier. The sentiment has become "Why bother putting all the effort into making a good game? Let the player do that work." So we end up with a graphically beautiful pile of shit that has fantastic visuals but the gameplay is weak.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus That's because one side has been winning this whole time lol
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick True, but without modders we wouldn't have the gigantic, fantastic, breath taking (and also lore friendly) mods like in Skyrim for instance, improving something is always easier than making it from scratch.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Oh please, they have to make console exclusive games for people to buy those things, otherwise all games would've been for all platforms
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Having never played Skyrim, I can't really comment. I kinda thought Elder Scrolls was boring even before modding hit the community.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Consoles have the ability to co-op. That in and of itself puts them on top. I'm not making my friend bring an entire ass PC to my house just so we can play Burnout or NFS together.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Bring? Just do it from your individual homes, and as far as I know the splitscreen is not much of a thing anymore.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick it sounds like you’re referring only to split screen co-op , is that right?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Yeah, like I'm gonna sit in my bedroom and play a game over Live with my friend who lives three blocks from my house. The best part of playing with your friends is all being in the same room. It's hectic, it's funny, it's what I love best.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus Yes, I am.
