I Have Social Phobia

I didn't go to the Wednesday lunch yoga class held by a colleague today, and maybe for a while in the future too. I do not have common topic to talk with them during lunch after we finish class together. And I have different political views from theirs. Rather than facing situations like this, I prefer to be alone.

So because of diffrent political opinions, you want to detach yourself from your collegues? That's some hardcore identity issues right there.
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 because political issues are hard to be political issues alone, it is basically ethics, right and wrong, black or white.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm You guys and girls seem to have some deep conversations during yoga. 😅
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 🤣🤣🤣
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm I've been into diffrent groups, where people have diffrent opinions... but when we do things to relax (or hobby) we generally keep politics out of it.

Just like my grandmom banned politics from the table, the night I left christmas and walked home.
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 I argue with my father every day when the TV is on with scenes of the protests here in Hong Kong. Sometimes he leaves home to stop our arguing.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm Yeah, I don't know in what way you are peeps argue... if it becomes a "yes" , "no" , "yes" , "no" , "yes you fucking idiot", "shut up bitch" ... kinda conversation. I would probably walk away too.
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 pro government and pro China people talk like this, no substance, just opinions, reinforced inserted opinions.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm Oh yeah... Just don't start eating eachother. Once you start seeing eachother as the enemy, you are pretty much fucked as a society.

Which one are you? The pro-china? Or pro Hong-Kong independence?
Carazaa · F
@Sssslm debating can be fun but try not to argue with your parents because God says in the 5th commandment to "Honor your parents so it will go well with you and you will live a long time" I care about you and I want you to be successful in life and for God to protect you and your prayers be answered! Always be respectful to your parents.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Carazaa What if your parents are actual NAZIs, and you as a child fall deeply in love with a Jewish girl at school. What does God say about that?
Carazaa · F
@Kwek00 Show them respect for being your parent. You don't have to agree with their opinions. You can still love them. You marry whoever you want. Don't live life for parents. Its your life! You graciously say. I love you, but I will marry this girls.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Carazaa So you need to be respectfull to the parents, because one day they decided to have sex. And because of that, you need to respect them, even tough they want to see the girl you fell in love with eradicated from the earth because she belongs to a group that they believe runs every part of society and that's why reality is so fucked up? We need to respect that... because "parents"? (and God of course, don't forget God says we need to do all that... OBEY! WORSHIP! LISTEN! don't think for yourself! There is only one entity that dictates your life! and if you don't, burn in hell for all enternity! <- The tyrants manual of ordening society, most worldy tyrants punisments stop after death, so you can imagine how cruel this story really is)
Carazaa · F
@Kwek00 Yep!
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 most hong kongers are asking for an independent inquiry committee to investigate the situation to find out the truth, a real 1 country 2 systems, real autonomy undisturbed by china as promised in the joint declaration with Britain before the handover of hk to China, and universal suffrage promised in the Basic Law here.

Most hongkongers are realistic, we dont have the army force to fight against china, so independence as a country is not possible. We are just asking for what we have been promised in the law and contract at the point we were handed over to China from Britain.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Carazaa Well, just like Godspeed, you have gone down the deep end. Nothing new there annyway. Next up is preaching ignorance, thinking it's cool to be ignorant because that will get you into heaven. Debating other peoples' idea with ignorant ideas, because we already established that ignorance is cool because it gets you into heaven.

Tyrants are cool too, because well, we are worshipping one. But we are totally oblievious to it, because we already established that ignorance is bliss.

That's what we are doing... and we are okay with it. Being stupid for the grace of lord, that's our new motto out here. Just keep hearting the criticism, because ignorance is totally okay now, God wants us to be stupid fucks and act like stupid fucks, because "heaven".

At least your version of God. There are still people that embrace religion, but aren't okay with being totally ignorant. Those are ussually the people stupid fucked up christians brag about when they say that "religious people can still be smart". I think those smart religious people will vomit all over the narratives you are spinning these days.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm yeah... well, Good luck with that! I think having 2 diffrent countries, would just make a bit more sense. How attached does HK-people that think like you feel attached to Chinas' vision of the future annyway?
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 no attachment at all, thinking of 2047 approaching, that promised 50 years of "unchanged" is going to end, is like, end of the world for people living here.

But china will not release hk, hk is the only free port where foreign funds flow into china. Complete independence by force or by peace is thus both not possible.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm From the experience I get in my own country.

If 2 groups don't feel attached to eachother. And they have a form of governement that needs both groups to work together. The group that wants independence the most will just obstruct the workings of this governement that they already perceive as not working for them. And then it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy, because that governement will work less and less. And the ones that want the governement to fail, will just represent their own actions as some kind of duality between "them" and "us" (even if it's their own actions that cause the problem)... and in the long run you can choose to split up or have a broken system.

Splitting up can be a pretty violent thing tough. And China isn't really a country that embraced values that are tolerant to those that they don't perceive as the "we" group. It's a bit like the christian God figure... CONFORM! OBEY! WORSHIP! or be excommunicated.

Of course... that's just my opinion on the situation out there. I don't live there. I just know have my own situation that kinda explains stuff for myself.
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 yes china wants to make itself like religion, and is successful within itself.

Conform, obey, worship was why I left religions too.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm Yeah, china's ideals are far from liberal, that's for sure.
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 it s great they boycotted NBA, so that the world know how it works and what is happening in hk every day. Today hk, tomorrow worldwide.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm Well, it's been going on for a while now. Mainly because big powers in the world condoned it, because they get something out of it. Annalysts have been pulling on the alarmbell in the west for a while now. There are diffrent proffessors out here that have been studying china for years, but in the last decade all got banned because the criticism became more and more harsh as china more and more uses it's influence.

The recent "blizard" debacle has shaken up the gaming community (for what ever that is worth)
The recent NBA debacle has shaken up sports fans in the US.
And the recent southpark debacle, just made me laugh at the sadness of it all. (I love southpark)
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 they are even trying to sell their ideal to the world
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Sssslm Well, not sure about that either. I thought they still believed in the idea that outside China everyone is free to do what they want. Didn't Deng Xia Ping believe in the idea of "non-interference".

It's just that when you want to sell or even give your product to china. It needs to conform to china's ideas. If the NBA, Southpark, ... or annything else wants to sell their stuff (or even propagate their stuff) in china... you have to conform. If you want to have China to invest in your country, you conform.

Hong Kong is just perceived to be chinese by china... so you guys don't really have the right to this "non-interference" or "everything under the sun" ideal China seems to embrace. China doesn't tell other people what to do outside China unless they have some kind of relationship with China. At least that how I'm thinking about it now.
Sssslm · F
@Kwek00 I agree it s sad. It s sad a whole nation covering all generations and with such large amount of people living in a completely different way from the world, in a twisted manner.
