I Have A Disabled Family Member

my oldest daughter suffers from a lot of health problems due to things that happened with her birth parents. but it has caused her to be very small for her age and she is very weak.she struggles doing simple things including using bathing her self and even using a knife and fork she struggles with. because of it she also has to wear nappies all the time. it is heart breaking but watching her try to do things on her own and telling me off for trying to help her is adorable.

She is a brave kid. How old was she when you adopted her?

You know, no matter how much she recovers or how much of a challenge she faces, she will be fine. She has loving parents, and a strong will. As long as you allow her to do all she can for herself, and be there when needed, she will be great. And the love you give will come back to you a hundredfold.

Be proud. Of her and yourself.

I am so sad for her.. I had a look at the comments below and came to know that you adopted her when she was 5! what a great person you are to adopt a disabled girl and help her all of her life... you're such a great mom!! You should be proud of yourself.. Your daughters and husband should be proud of you as well :)

I'm glad, for all of you. How old are your other children. They are very lucky too. At an early age, they are learning about compassion and courage and grit.

Well I'm proud of you and your husband for saving her and I'm proud of your girl for having the spirit to never give up, with that attitude she'll be alright.
