I Love Life

Aren't dogs the absolute BEST?!? My dog is named Stella - and she's a brown pit bull. I adopted her from a shelter, and since they kill dogs around here it's commonly known as a "rescued" dog. It's not that she runs around saving people, although if called upon - I wouldn't put it past her.

She is probably about 7 years old now. It's difficult to tell, because when I got her she was full grown. They assumed she was about a year old - I decided she was maybe a bit younger, because she was so youthful.
Well - Stella and I have been together for quite a while now. I have had her through a relationship I thought was going to define my future - and Stella and I remain "bachelor's" after that set of debacles. We have been through the Honda Passport, then the Dodge Ram 2500, and back down to the wee VW Jetta... She has been there while I have built a construction business (that doesn't really make any money), while my father has gotten sick and had to have 2 emergency brain surgeries. She drove across the country from Colorado to Upstate Vermont with me, so we could help my father heal from his surgeries.

She has done some real good stuff for me. If I'm really sick, Stella is there with a paw and caring eyes. If I'm really lonely or sad, guess who's there - eager to cuddle?

It doesn't matter what is going on. She doesn't care if I have a lot of money, if I have loads of friends, if I'm good-looking or fit-enough; she accepts and improves my life.

She literally is the best decision I ever made. I have learned so much as a result of her influence. Thank you Stella - I'm gonna go fill your Kong with peanut butter and you can go NUTS!

Dogs are the best, I wholeheartedly agree. My beautiful black labrador never disappoints, he's never selfish, always happy to see me.
