Do people really tell their daughters they are like a piece of gum and once they are chewed they are trash or is this a movie invention?

That metaphor makes like zero sense.

Not at all. people tell this to their kids all the time so they stay purified and not be deflowered or get pregnant and have a child and then they have to raise their kid with their kid.
