Vegetables

Steak. I was 21 when I realized it wasn't that I hated steak, it was that mom always cooked it well done. My first rare steak was an epiphany

Avocados and artichokes

When my mom made eggplant parmigiana I was not happy. And hers was badass. I got older and loved it.

Beef stew. The meat was always stringy and took ages to swallow. Someone made it for me recently and it was delicious.

Almost everyone said they still like their favourite food from age 11. I've done it in different countries, same result. It doesn't work at younger age so much - but 11 it does.
