I Am Child-free By Choice

I sometimes worry that because I don't plan to have children it will hinder my chances of ever finding a partner and getting married.

It is absolutely normal for people to want children and I fear I may never find someone because I feel differently.

Don't worry too much about it, it's becoming more common for women to not want children. Well, at least in my experience! About half of the women I know don't want children (myself included).

@onelucasbest it’s good that you know what you want. What makes you feel so strongly about not wanting kids?

@SW-User I'm not sure. I'll ask a psychologist one day maybe. I'm sure there are some deep seated psychological reasons but I won't ask you to unpack all that. I just know that's the way I feel.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. However, when you find a partner let them know up front. Life is complicated enough.

@Crazywaterspring It is very important to know straight away. Especially at my age becase women my age will be wanting to plan children fairly soon
