I Struggle With My Body Image

The motivator #632: I think the #1 thing I struggle with is confidence. Through childhood issues, mean comments and other bullshit, I never really felt really worthy when it came to my outward appearance. I was never asked out or well-liked, it was just a thing i learned to accept and it was easy to blame on my weight.
In a way in the last few months, I think I got over obsessed with working out...i was nearly exercising every day. Sometimes 2 or 3 times until with one workout I heard a pop in my left hip followed by crippling pain. I dont really know what happened, but I knew that I probably did something stupid and overdid it. The pain, for the most part subsided (with a constant dose of Tylenol) but as i went weeks without working out it made me realize that I was trying too hard to get away from that stigma and put too much emphasis on my body rather than my confidence.
Now that im slowly getting back into it, i learned to limit it to 30-45 minutes and just start enjoying what i have rather than just struggling what i dont have

Excellent... The road to discovering that other peoples opinion of you is not importan,t is long, but worth the journey. What is important is your own opinion of yourself.. Be your own judge and conscience ..
And that will shine from you, making you a beacon of light among the sheep...

That sounds familiar. Loving yourself for what you are, rather than hating yourself for what you perceive yourself not to be (mirrors lie) is really tough.

I think it must be a better way to live, though.

I used to go to the gym religiously for a few years, got a bit too ambitious one day, tore something, boy did it hurt for about 6 months. I just walk now. About 2 miles, every day or other day and do some light lifting at home.

I understand where you are coming from. Weight has been an issue most of my life and I know how it can undermine your confidence. Glad you are getting back on the horse and I hope you will always love yourself for who you are. :)

I'm proud of you. 🤗 Really tough to discover these things by ourselves.

Good story, confidence is about balance and measuring your self by the standards you set for your self. But knowing you own strengths and weaknesses.

Just stick to a consistent schedule and the calorie in vs calorie out formula. You'll reach your goal definitely.
