I "Got The Belt" When I Was A Kid

I got the belt too and hated it, but I have to admit it worked.

Many not so fond memories of watching my dad unbuckling his belt

From what I've read on here, the belt is usually what dads' use. Interesting to see a mom break the norm!

I got my aunts hand from the age 2-3, her havaianas Flip Flops from age 4-6 and the belt from age 7-17.

I got the belt from my dad quite a bit as a teenager. I must say I deserved it when I did. Believe me, My dad could really make me sorry I had any poor attitude or gave any lip service back talk. Down came my drawers and oh the belt gave me a super heated backside. ANd yes I gave it plenty to my 3 offspring when they did the same thing. Yes it did a wonderful job of adjusting my attitude and my 2 daughters and son as well.

Completely agree.. Spanking makes a person realize his mistakes and slowly reduce it over a period of time

Never got the belt. More the hand and paddle. Plus the bar of soap in the mouth :(

After a while all it took was the threat of the belt!
