I don't hate anyone who adores the shit out of Biden. I feel sorry for them 😄😄
But I have no choice but to block when the hate and insults are spewed directly at me.

@Nobody00 you should block anyone who makes it personal.
You can like anyone you want, that's our right.
If you can cope up with changing times and work hard, you don't have worry about who is in the top that much.

@HopelessGuy when they express their love for Biden in generally civilized words that's fine. It's when I start getting the " you...you...you", gives me a headache by now 🤕 Ya, you are right about working hard and and being adaptable/flexible with the new changes. Seems that the times are kind of changing where our hands are "getting" tied...more and more.
HopelessGuy · M
@Nobody00 World has always been like that.
Change is the only thing that doesn't change.
And getting rich is the 😅easy way to break free.

Not sure if it's the virus causing it but for many Decades, Centuries even, both Democrats and Republicans have differed in their opinions, most usually respected each other's right to have an opinion even it was the opposite of theirs. It's only in the past few years where it has become this miasma of hatred and lies and conspiracy theories... Not sure where that's all coming from but it isn't the way Americans should be acting with their fellow Citizens, yes, we may differ but we are ALL Americans and should all be working to a common goal of respect for our Democracy and enjoying the rights we've fought for and earned!

alas not just in religion politics and all other topics too even to the most trivial unimportant comment an difference of opinion can transpire that is just difference of opinion but you are right you can debate a topic reasonably without resorting to being nasty and personal insults @hopelessguy

It’s not been a good year to be an SWer. Not the sites fault, but between Covid and US politics the pure volume of schadenfreude being passed around here has been epic.

Your sentiments are honourable ... but I don't think hate's such a bad thing.. it's a natural emotion... I hate butter beans, nasty things.. I rarely hate people but it's been known.. generally they've done something to merit that hate..
In theory we should be able to debate sensibly... but as you say, many don't... that leaves us with a dilemma..
Not everyone is religious.. and not everyone who expresses hate is non-religious... in fact most aren't

@Adaydreambeliever I'm not religious either, I just hoped people Would be nicer if they believed in God.

The world has become a much angrier place, or maybe it always was.
HopelessGuy · M
@Shine as per my analysis, it always been a cruel place.
But we have a lot of kind people on the world who makes it worth living.

Alas, some religious people hate others in the name of their faith, and believe themselves pious for doing so.
In my country we (hopefully) just got rid of a leader who was actively encouraging divisiveness and hatred based upon race, religion, nationality and political party. It will take time to recover from the fear and distrust he stoked...if it ever happens. 🙁
