Why is no one ever happy about

the fact that being skinny isn't all there is to life?
GLITTER · 36-40, F
Too many people telling too many people how their bodies should be
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@SW-User no not at all. I judge by people’s character, are they a nice person? Are they a murderer? Etc etc etc
SW-User
@GLITTER That's fair but generally looks and money matter.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@SW-User for the vast majority yes
Degbeme · 70-79, M

I'd rather not have excess weight. I'm trying to shed the 25lbs I've gained since last October. But, you are right. There is much more to life than not being overweight.
@quitwhendone I suppose so
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
Slim sounds better; and yeah, it helps to be wealthy, too
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@WhisperinAngelic101 well, I’d say most models are very attractive BUT some look painfully skinny. Not sure they look their best clothed or naked
@DownTheStreet think of a size 4 or a size 8! im happy being a size 14!
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@WhisperinAngelic101 yeah it’s really all about being comfortable, isn’t it?
Nayla · 51-55, F
It does feel good to be slim.

I was 230 pounds when I had my twins in 2002. (I had gained 80 pounds) I felt awful. Tired all of the time. Zero energy. Craving junk food. It was hard to walk because my legs felt like they weighed 1000 pounds each.

I had a year of maternity leave and decided I was going to use it to become healthy. I've never looked back.

Because few really understand what being skinny truly means.

Few don't know about the tiredness. Few know about the passing out. Few know about the lack of motivation caused by it.

And that is only if you have a high metabolism. Other problems occur if it's not cause by that.

I would kill to have more curves, and I have friends that say they’d kill to have my figure…I guess we’re predisposed to want what we don’t have
Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. But most of the people are blind.

Well I have all was been really fit. Besides taking the bus to school I took my bike. Even if it was like 10 miles. Before lunch I had gym class. We was all was lifting weights and running. After school I went to swim practice. Then like a 12 mile bike ride home. Now even at 30 year's old I am still just as fit
Doomflower · 36-40, M
Being skinny is not everything. Wearing skinny clothes is part of it.
@Doomflower yes, being thin has a nice charm. I guess it could give you immunity too, to make along story short...?
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@WhisperinAngelic101 if you are dressing to please other people, your weight is not your biggest problem...
@Yulianna alright. But a lot of people do that...
SolGryn · 31-35, M
Looks mean very little to me so I dont know
SolGryn · 31-35, M
@WhisperinAngelic101 no. Why would it bother me?
@SolGryn I don't mean it would bother you, im just wondering whether you would be proud of her...?
SolGryn · 31-35, M
@WhisperinAngelic101 I'm happy as long as she is happy
Unlearn · 41-45, M
Because we search for ourselves outside...
@Unlearn outside...? i think i know what you mean, can you elaborate?
Unlearn · 41-45, M
@WhisperinAngelic101 outside - not within ourselves
@Unlearn you're right. Some times, i wonder if health matters?

Being fit and healthy means a somewhat easier life. But being thin is no guarantee of fitness or health.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard True. The more weight a person accumulates, the more work is exerted on the heart.

Obesity is indeed a problem in this generation where people are getting lazy with how far technology has come.
