It's interesting people try to say Trump is dividing this country. No this country is already divided and Obama standing up on live TV 2 years ago and blaming action of a gunman on every southerner. This shit is part what caused division of the US

What about the Civil War? Do you think that had any part of dividing our country? And, what about religion... do you think that had anything to do with creating division? How about race... could that be a cause of any division in the country? What about the way "some" people are looking for a single scapegoat (like Trump OR Obama) to blame division on? @questionWeaver The system works! The person who won the most votes won and there was a peaceful transition of power. I won because the moron who won the election is being blocked by a series of ingenious checks-and-balances that prevents an incompetent dictator-type from performing his self-serving actions regardless of the foul-mouthed city dwellers he surrounds himself with and no matter how much golf he plays on his anything but small town golf courses that is costing American taxpayers (living in small towns and cities) unnecessary expense. And, I suspect (now) you won too because you seem oblivious to what is really going on. You know... ignorance is ______.

The nation is divided along urban non-urban lines

People outside the urban core are the deplorables ... we have guns, like boats, go to NASCAR, flip burgers at BBQs ... we vote conservative ... demographically speaking ... we are growing

Inside the urban core, is a group which have it tough ... guns and violence are daily ... this group votes 90% for big government ... this group is not growing.

This division is continually exploited ... as you noted.

Back fired on Hillary though.

A lot of people were divided over Hilary and Donald so I think it was a very controversial election. I think it became divided, yes. I don't think it's just one person's fault. However, you can't deny that many conservatives have withdrawaled their support for Donald Trump.
