I Love Indiana Jones

Ever since I first saw "Raiders of the lost Ark" I've been hooked as a fan. I think George Lucas and Steven Spielberg did a fantastic job in it's creation and production, and I think Harrison Ford was an excellent choice to play the role (they originally wanted Tom Selleck but I can't picture that). I own all four of the movies to date and am looking forward to the 5th (and probably final) one to be released. It was Indiana Jones that was one of the ones who got me interested in and hooked on wearing fedoras.🤠

It's just a shame about Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That movie made me cry for my childhood hero.

@MethDozer that was pretty terrible

@FeetAreFantastic It really was. I don't think we even have to mention any of the what's or whys.

What made you cry? I was a little sad because it was supposed to be the last film when it came out...but the ending left me hopeful toward the possibility of just one more. You know when Indy's son put the hat on and then Harrison Ford took it off and put it back on his own head? I said to myself That leaves it open to yet another.

@indyjoe How bad it was. The story arch and writing was terrible and it was mostly just a rehash of all the other movie's best or memorable scenes. It had no originality to it and was a money grab movie IMHO.

@MethDozer I agree that it wasn't that great of a movie, but I take it at face value just because it's an Indiana Jones film. The reason it was weaker than the rest is because Lucas and the writers had a rough time coming up with a story in the first place...there are only so many interesting mystical things out there to explore. I have no clue as to where they'll go with the next and possibly final one.

@indyjoe I respect your opinion, I just think they waited too long. Lost the mind frame. Plus a character should really go so far. Or else it becomes a joke on itself like James Bond.

@MethDozer Exactly. No longer any heart put into it, you see the same with Star Wars and yes, James Bond should have died with Pierce Brosnan.
All these sequels are just made for monetary gains only. Easy money, nothing more.

@MethDozer I didn't think it was the greatest film, but it wasn't a bad film.
