why are women so hard to understand?

Each woman is entirely different. Would you want a woman who honestly thought that all men were exactly the same?

One [i]very[/i] basic rule of thumb is that when a woman has a problem, she doesn't want you to fix it, (unless it's something like opening a jar and she is not strong enough to do it). All she wants is someone to sit there and listen sympathetically.

Kinda seems like an issue straight men and women have with each other broadly, in no small part because they interact more intimately with the opposite sex. Men and women are just wired slightly differently. And while I'm socially insanely dumb, I don't think anyone is that tough to understand at heart, if you can detach your own baggage from the conversation.

Why don't men try to listen more?

Just agree with whatever they say and then do whatever you want anyway. You can't win so why try?
