What is your view on this?

Do you think it is better to work hard in private and let results speak for themselves, or do you want the attention/support during your efforts?

Recently, I've been feeling private is better, because not everyone will wish you well and will genuinely support you. Some of those will try to put you down.. better work hard in silence and let the results scream.

@BitterSweetPotato I think so too, a lot of social media, even that claiming to be positive is just bad in a different way... I have seen people become addicted for the praise of doing something, or being seen to be doing something rather than focus on the thing itself. Whether it is weightloss or mental health or learning something new or any kind of improvement.

@helsbels 100% agree and can relate! I was recently studying for a prestigious qualification with a pass rate of less than 50%.. I didn't mention to anyone at work that I was taking the exam and I only made it known when I got my pass results. Had I mentioned it, there would have been a lot more pressure on me, expectations and people putting me down. Especially if you fail, many will make sure to make you feel bad. I've seen it many times around, and people focus so much on advertising what they are doing, instead of doing it.

I do all my hard work in private. I don't need support or really anyone knowing my entire business.

I also believe in the evil eye where those that are jealous or don't like you can actually make things go wrong for you.
Work hard in private. Whenever I want to learn anything or I need to get something done it's better that I do it by myself. I tend to make lots of mistakes I don't need those to become public knowledge xD

Work hard, don't tell anybody other than the ones whose support you feel you need

You should not depend on outside motivation.

I prefer to work hard and let my efforts speak louder. It's more satisfying too.

I want the support of loved ones during the process but only the ones who didn't push me when I didn't succeed the first time.

I believe attribution is more important than recognition. I want it known that I put effort into a result, I don't care for public praise or anything, but do hope it's known I'm one that puts in the effort.

Depends on what type of person you are but I believe to work and show your results speak for themselves as you can bullshit all you want on paper but if you can't do the job your done.

We are cool either way we choose. Some tasks, we need mental support at and a few are easy and we think we can do.
