What is your view on this?

Do you think it is better to work hard in private and let results speak for themselves, or do you want the attention/support during your efforts?

Recently, I've been feeling private is better, because not everyone will wish you well and will genuinely support you. Some of those will try to put you down.. better work hard in silence and let the results scream.

@BitterSweetPotato I think so too, a lot of social media, even that claiming to be positive is just bad in a different way... I have seen people become addicted for the praise of doing something, or being seen to be doing something rather than focus on the thing itself. Whether it is weightloss or mental health or learning something new or any kind of improvement.

@helsbels 100% agree and can relate! I was recently studying for a prestigious qualification with a pass rate of less than 50%.. I didn't mention to anyone at work that I was taking the exam and I only made it known when I got my pass results. Had I mentioned it, there would have been a lot more pressure on me, expectations and people putting me down. Especially if you fail, many will make sure to make you feel bad. I've seen it many times around, and people focus so much on advertising what they are doing, instead of doing it.
