I'm very sorry . People have no right to invalidate you and yes it can be traumatic and unpleasant and I hope more children and adults who have grown up in the system felt safe and encouraged to speak up. You are brave and I hope you heal

It’s a very flawed system with a lot of people who upon closer inspection probably shouldn’t be doing it.

Support for both youngsters and families is patchy and like you say, security is nowhere !

I’m so sorry to hear of your sadness. Any child in the foster care system should never have to feel unhappy & insecure like this. One of the main, overriding criterias with foster care training is to nurture & reinforce safe attachments so that the child, no matter how difficult, unusual or problematic- always feels wanted, safe & loved. I truly hope & pray that you somehow find the refuge, care & affection which should be every child’s natural born right in this world 💜🤗

My ex husband was in foster care.......... he was adopted but by a horrible family

Just remember one day it won’t always Be like this and one day you will create your own life and not have to depend on others support. The options are limitless

I never hear anything good about foster homes...like even the good ones are just ok. And the bad ones are really bad. I'm sorry you have to go through that :( *hugs*

You have every right to vent about the hell you've had to endure. You have had to live a life no one would've chosen. I love you because I've gotten to know the wonderful person that you are. You deserve better than the life you have had to live. Hoping that your future will be filled with love from people that really love you. 💋

Well you can still achieve great things and with hard work you'll be out and about by the time you're 18-20 living a nice life. What makes us all the same in a sense is that we've all been given our own variation of life, and this life defines our tolerance in regards to what we can deal with. So no matter where in the spectrum your circumstances lie you'll still feel the same kind of joy and pain as anyone else, it only comes from a different source, like edgar poe put it.

That's the reason why there exists children who can make tiktok challenges with a smile on their faces while army missiles rain down over their heads. And why I get anxious when I have to talk to a person.
