I hate my life.

I have been in foster care for 7 years and been in a total of 12 families mostly short term stays. And people only hear about the good sides of it like how foster care gives kids an opertunity to have a family and a stable home. But that’s only the case for the lucky ones if you are unlucky you feel homeless and that you have no where to go. Sadly I’m unlucky and been in some bad homes aswell. I get jealous of people my age and younger when they talk about their families and it makes me angry when people try and say things like it could be worse. I don’t trust people and I’m scared to be myself in case my foster parents don’t like who I am and just get rid of me like the rest have. Sorry to vent but this kept me up last night.

It’s a very flawed system with a lot of people who upon closer inspection probably shouldn’t be doing it.

Support for both youngsters and families is patchy and like you say, security is nowhere !

You write very eloquently ! Which displays a level of maturity and intellect.
Perhaps it’s a sign you should write a blog or a book on your experiences.
A chance to tell the inside story !
