I Love The Sauna

How do you feel about fancy modern saunas ? a new sauna center opend here here and we went to try it out. being used to traditional sauna i was quite amazed at the "new" stuff... liky a chrystal sauna, a coffee sauna, a hay and herbs sauna...

i am more of a traditionalist but my kids liked espcially the chrystal saunas a lot

i never seen a sauna where clothes are allowed... there usually is one day per week here reserved for only women and another for only men but those usually cost extra.... less potential visitors etc

@UncoolMother I am on our local board of health and there is an application for a salt cave. I researched it and it is very interesting.

@UncoolMother they claim it fixes whatever ails you. The walls and ceilings are lined with salt and salt is atomized in the air. The people wear thin garments, not nude. Nudity here in the US is uncommon.

@samueltyler2 how does a clothed sauna work anyway ? do you undress to cool down ? arent bathing suits horrible inconveneint in a sauna ?

I don't think it gets that hot in the salt room. We require some sort of coverings to keep the space sanitary. At least that is our requirement. What actually happens when the door closes is something else.

@samueltyler2 rule number one of all saunas here: always carry a towel and sit on it... never sit with your naked butt on a bench

@UncoolMother good idea, but here we tend to be even more careful. We have no try saunas in our town, so I don't know what we would do if the policy was nude only.
