I Am Not Perfect

Transparent. See the thing is, I'm better when I'm invisible; see through. I've always admired chameleons; they always seem to blend in, no matter what situation they are in; whether it be life threatening or something stupid like....just wanting to hide. I've never been invited to Birthday parties, or get togethers. I've always seemed to be forgotten, invisible. I'm starting to wonder if I like it that way; if I like being left alone. Alone and unnoticed. It's kind of funny; how I could stand in front of everybody and stomp my feet and scream at the top of my lungs and nobody would see me. it's kind of like a magic trick that only I know the secret to. See the trick is to avoid eye contact. The second you make eye contact it's like a green light for vulnerability. Like a fresh wound; open and anything that touches it hurts, even when it's only there to help. That's the sad part....when it's only there to help and it still hurts.

We all do what we think is right for ourselves. But without making eye contact and taking a chance, then only the pain from before will ever be remembered. Not everything hurts all the time. Sometimes you find what's right and good after some pain. I know what it's like to be invisible, I thought it was a blessing for a time, but not so much now. I do hope you find something right for you, if this is it, alright. I can't tell you what's right for you, only for myself. I wish you the very best and this 馃 if you don't mind.

I, too, can walk unnoticed through a crowd. The only parties I was ever invited to were work related events. I especially like standing for 10 minutes at a counter while the salesgirls discuss last nights date before they notice me.

Sorry to hear that, have to love yourself first and others will follow.

Keep your head up, especially when it's dark, that way you don't miss the stars.

It sounds like shyness, which can feel crippling but can eventually be overcome.

You can't truly like it or you wouldn't have written about it, take the chance, don't let this become the rest of your life, some of those things are scary, but usually none are as bad as you imagine them to be, don't be invisible, you are worth seeing and will surely add to peoples lives
