I Believe Everyone Is Entitled to Their Opinion

Let's say Jeffrey Dahmer killed your family and ate them and someone else posed the question, He was a sick human being, but he was also a criminal mastermind! ... no, he was a crazy nut. But regardless of what you intend to discover with the line of questioning, people are going to have a very visceral reaction because of the terrible things that this human being did to other humans. It is difficult for people to think objectively, and I think you knew the question was going to rile people up. You begin with "unpopular opinion," which is putting it mildly. So, I am not lambasting you - merely pointing out objectively, well, as you might with regard to Hitler, that there was bound to be a backlash due to the nature of the question. Why is anyone surprised or making appeals for people to think rationally? When someone says something so emotionally charged, what do you expect?

You have to understand at that time Germany's economy was in the toilet . The people were disenfranchised . Many people were out of work and felt hopeless . Hitler fed off of that . The people were easily manipulated because of those circumstances amongst other things .....but it's too much to go into

I think of some of the kids I grew up with who had no living generation before their parents because of the Holocaust. They could "thank Hitler" for THAT, too. The fact that people followed him are a reflection on how hateful people can be, not HIS "greatness". We're seeing that same stupidity and hatefulness with the people following Trump now.

I'm not a Hitler apologist. I know, as well as everyone else, that Hitler was a fucking awful person who is responsible for the death of so many people. However, everything isn't always black and white. He did good things for Germany before he starting doing disgusting intolerable things. Just because he was a good leader doesn't mean I respect of think that he deserves respect for what he did. I was just pointing out that you can be a horrible person but still have at least one redeeming quality, though that doesn't mean that redeeming quality makes up for the horrible shit you've done. Just how I see it. If you think I'm a scumbag then that's fine, because that's your opinion. I don't really care, because I'm not going to cry about it or feel offended. You can think as you like, and so can I. That's how it works. The only difference is I don't disrespect people for having a different opinion from me.

he did ended the Treaty of Versailles, that was a good thing for people
but after that what he did was mainly propaganda
he made people belive all their problems were cause of jews and other countries
and when something good happened, he was sure to take the merit
a lot of leaders still do it today, nothing special about that

Hitler's crimes against humanity were so enormous and horrific that it's absurd to talk about the alleged "good" things he did. He is defined by the human suffering and misery he caused. Nothing else about him matters.

hitler did some good thing for his people, but less than his people belived cause he was good in taking merits and blaming others

imagine hitler was killed by an assassin in the summer 1939... he would easily be referred to as one of the greatest statesmen of the 20th century

churchill, roosevelt and stalin all were mass murderer too... and thats not even counting the war crimes.
