@Pcat82 I was smacked with a plimsoll in junior school, but it wasn't my own. It was an old one the teacher kept for that purpose. It was a pity they stopped doing it not long afterwards.

It was always plimsolls at my schools, and I had no idea anyone was barefooted for PE until seeing it mentioned here.
