Long engagement

I had a long talk with my parents about the choice I made to marry my girlfriend of 3 years. I work full time decent pay good benefits and my girlfriend gets social security cause of her disability. My parents love me and are just making sure I am making the right decision because if I marry her she will loose her benefits and she would have to find at-least a part time job to help out with the bills which we talked about before I asked her to marry me. It’s just a lot to take in.
