I Want to Lose Weight

I was always in shape in high school, but after kids I’ve slacked off. I’m 5”6 and weigh around 190. I’d like to lose 30 pounds over the course of this year. Always feel ugly and unattractive. And not being comfortable with my body leads to marital issues sometimes.

The best way I have found to lose weight is low sugar, low carb. And snack on raw veggies, even if it's dipped in ranch or something. Ranch is low carb. I usually have steak and salad for dinner

@swandfriends sounds great I wouldn’t think ranch would be good for dieting lol. I’m getting concerned I could become diabetic

Oh yeah, Im pretty sure I could be diabetic. High blood sugar. I pee a lot, when I do low carb, I don't have to pee all the time. I never really stick with the low carb every single day. But even if I stick with it semi-regularly, it helps a lot

@swandfriends I only pee a few times a day I didn’t know diabetes was linked to that. I’m about to eat as if I was bad along it scares me
First accept that your not ugly or unattractive! Your beautiful but you have some work to do, so take it one day at a time because for long term healthy goals you need to find a lifetime solution not quick fix or fad diet. Good luck 🤗🤗🤗🤗 remember the year just started

@RadiantRuby I’m hoping to just get healthier all around I’m having concerns about diabetes
@SW-User please take care, diabetes is horrible, it's a lot of work sheesh I hate it. 😩 But you should be fine don't ever starve your self either, I have low blood sugar these days from not eating for long hours at a time. Last week I made a post because I was shaking for 30 minutes because my sugar dropped

Look up diets online and find the one you can live with. Stop thinking about feeling ugly and unattractive and focus on your health. Start out walking 30 minutes a day. Then add weights to your routine and find an easy and doable workout you can live with. Good luck!
