Do you occasionally reap the benefits of random kindness?

I gave a drunk girl a hair tie in the restroom last night. She invited me to her wedding in June 馃き

@MarmeeMarch He is actually improving! I think all our prayers have actually worked for him. The doctors have told him his lung cancer is no longer spreading...apparently the radiation treatments were so harsh they burned away the cancerous portions of his left lung. He is breathing with 1 1/2 lung(s), and that bothers him...but still...he is alive!

And then the c. Difficile bacteria, which was on its way to killing him, was finally defeated by a hail Mary sort of procedure, to which I accompanied him.

I feel full of joy when I arrive at his house with food for him and I see him working out in his yard, in the spring sunshine. If there is hope for him, then there is hope for the whole world.

@MarmeeMarch Thank you. I feel cantankerous and contentious, mostly, (unlike a truly good person), because he is not happy with all of his miracles, and I wish he were. He is complaining because a Major League baseball first baseman has the same type of lung cancer he has, and he is out playing baseball again.

I tried to point out to my friend that he is not in his 30's anymore, he was NEVER in such excellent shape as a professional athlete, and he should not expect to be in such fine condition because his main occupation is watching television.
