I Will Take As Many Words As I Want To Write This Story

I love you from afar

From my first EP account. Ok- first serious one. It's a love poem that could be to anyone. And, indeed, it may BE to someone. Someone that shall remain nameless. As that is how hopeless romantics oft are.

Be that as it may, enjoy my declaration of love-and the acceptance of it, as it was then.

I love you from afar.
‘Cause I cannot love you near.
I hold your words so dearly;
Like I would hold you dear.

I cherish every moment;
As our time here is not long.
Your soul has mine singing.
Sweetly, as a song.

I wish for Summer Days.
Days that would not end.
I wish for days upon the shore;
Walking with you my sweet friend.

I long to hold you dearly.
And breathe in all of you.
Holding you at day’s end.
As caressing starts one anew.

I’d love to hear you say
That you “love me too”
But
My dear
You cannot love me.

Anymore than-
I Love You.
@berangere Great take on it. And indeed, that is exactly what it is. A declaration for a love that could not even be. Fixtures, time and forces have prevented that form occurring. But life can be strange- take us for unknown twists and turns, so it also offers up that hope that the love spoke may blossom into more than a declaration.

It brings back bitter sweet memories of a childhood love that could never be.💙
I think that is a good way to say it. And those are hard to get over. But so are those we develop as adults.

Reminds me of someone I knew on EP. Beautifully written
Then I hope you can locate her. Odd how strong some of the connections we make on social media are. They touch in ways we have never been touched before.

I know where she is, but she ended it. That destroyed me. 4 years on I still miss her.
Ah! That can be hard. I had one that did the same. How I miss them.
That is written so beautifully. I love it :)
Thanks. I did love writing it as I remember. :) Glad you found it to read.

[c=#BF0080] Oh my stars!! 😻 I absolutely adoresss this!! It's sooo beautiful and passionate and raw. It's like your heart just flows right through your words. Exquisite.
She is a lucky lady to have you feel so ardently for her! Thank you for sharing. You have a true gift. 😇[/c]
Thank you so much! I am very glad you have found beauty and meaning in it. Your complimentary words mean a lot to me. To be honest, this poem almost wrote itself, as if I were no more than the vehicle that put the words to paper. So easy was it to express my love for her. And remains as such now.

I have always tried to write form the heart, a method that takes a bit of practice. And to be specific, I write to affect a woman's heart. For so many have issues and occurrences, and if my words can touch her, in some small way, then it is worth the time and effort. But I also write so he can understand my feelings as well. And perhaps achieve the same solace.

Your sweet words have inspired me to post other poems I have wrote. I may do that. Thanks. It was inspiration I was lacking.

@Elandra77: Well I was a big supporter of EP and they didn't do jack sh!t for me?! But I did get a t-shirt from them FREE! It was so WEIRD, it didn't come and I PM'd EP Arnish to ask her where it was? She made sure she had my address and it showed up....about a month later so did my check?! I laughed my ass off about that and later posted it, she popped on and said, "well at least we could gift you with a t-shirt!" HA, she had never talked much at all to me before I posted that. I don't like how they played "favorites." But such is human nature I suppose.
I never got anything-no T shirt or skirt or whatever. Arsiheh and I had a parting of ways after a while. She was Armen's right hand person. But she was just a mouthpiece for him. But they sis not do anything for me either-and I was a volunteer under the original program.

But I did learn to get to know a few -outside-- of their admin roles. That is, as real people with real everyday lives. Kimi and I were both makeup mavens. We had some great ideas back in the day.

One was to start a beauty and makeup channel on EP , with makeup guru vids much like YT has. But the logistics of it we never got around to.

Another was a series of "roundtables" A group of 3-40 people gashing out an idea EP had for development. All would be given an equal voice. ONLY those serious in making a difference would get invites. But they would have to show interest first. Time zones and all using the same software prevented that.

But Google can do it , with Google groups. Gotomeeting was suggested a method to do this.

@Elandra77: Wow, that sounds interesting! I know a guy there that tried to do something similar, it just never took off either. Haha, that t-shirt is a collectors item now. They weren't good business people so I guess that's why they stopped selling them?
Awww.....thank you. I thought I was the only one who still did quatrains. This is beautiful. You are truly gifted and you are genuinely interesting! I love everything I've read so far!
@puck61 Thanks, I am glad you liked it. One if the many primal needs and desires we have is to love- and be LOVED, in return. Yea, I know, sounds like "Nature Boy" by Nat. But it is true. When the primal needs of us are not met- we feel incomplete. And that can outwardly manifest in many ways. In this case I talk of long distance love- as the heart knows no time zones, no fly zones, borders, etc..
@Elandra77 You rock!

This is so beautiful!! I thank you for bringing up writings from EP days earlier. Those were such good days for the writers within us all🖤
@SW-User They were good days. I believe we, as writers, inspired each other. It was a silent form of compliment- but heard loudly.

@Elandra77 That is the perfect description. After all, that is where I was inspired to write. An outlet never explored, but I am so very grateful to have found it.💕
I can relate to this.. again absolutely beautiful 💜
@LittleTinks Thank You . i think many that yearn for a certain love or even one that was special to them and remains so can relate to this. I'm glad you liked this!
Absolutely!! 🤗 @Elandra77

Yeh thanks for making me cry lol 😙
@Gangstress To be honest, when I read some of my posts- and remember the why, how . who and circumstances around writing them- I cry as well.

So I understand.

@Elandra77 thanks for sharing your thoughts
This is beautiful...❤️
@submissivelittlewoman Thanks. I tried to touch on the desires and the longing we can have doe another. Their mere presence can heal wounds words and prayers could not. But besides that I wanted it to speak of love.
@Elandra77 you made it speak of so much. Thank you for dharong ut with all if us...
