I live in the exact same house where I saw the light of the Earth on the day I was born.

@helenS the US isn't that bad if u find that right place. I live by a small dinky town just like what I use to live by. Feels pretty much like home. Everyone knows everyone. Town closes down after 7pm. None of that craziness like cities have

@SW-User Living and working in America surpassed my greatest expectations.
It's just that home sickness is a disease. A deadly disease. Those who haven't experienced what it really means to be homesick won't understand. 😐

@smileylovesgaming Maybe if I had lived there, I wouldn't have felt so forlorn. 😐
It's great you don't live in a city which grows like a cancer.

Less than an hour from where I grew up. Around an hour and a half perpendicular from where I was born.
Been and lived all over the country though, 40 states. And two different countries. Some places just traveled through, some places as little as a month (near Nuremberg Germany), other places a long as 6 years in two different states.
I do recommend traveling for anyone that is only 15 years younger than myself.

For retirement I’ve come back to the place I grew up. Everything has changed, I have changed, I am still at home here.
