"environmently extinction girl"?? I think she speaks English better than the questioner.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@ChipmunkErnie Right. I didn't mention this because I was trying to be better than the 56-60 year old man with the brain of a 5 year old.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@JaggedLittlePill You're such a kind, considerate person.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@ChipmunkErnie I am to people who deserve it and when I am feeling frisky
HannahSky · F
Such a negative way to refer to her. You weren't up there doing anything for mankind or the planet.
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@HannahSky in my own way, I am
HannahSky · F
@DrBenway your post doesn't suggest anything positive
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Is this about Greta?

She has a name.

I think people should worry about what the message is and stop worrying about the fact that she is young and a girl.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@JaggedLittlePill I don't know who this person is or what they were saying but I do quite hate when people pay more attention to the person speaking than the words being spoken. I get that a lot when I talk about things like politics or morality. "Who the fuck would listen to a camel jockey from a third world country?" Ok, so I'm a dirty fucking sand nigger who was illiterate until age twelve and grew up eating stray dogs, but is what I'm saying wrong?
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@BlueMetalChick I think that just makes you even more equipped to speak about things that most people wouldn't have a clue about.
Darkcuckoo · 26-30, M
Her message needed said but she was the wrong messenger.
Darkcuckoo · 26-30, M
@JaggedLittlePill looking at your message above, it's not because of age or gender. I've seen a bit of the videos and saying how dare you to world leaders and such made some not take her seriously. She does have my respect and i agree with her message, just hope this doesn't cause people to ruin her.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@Darkcuckoo It is because of her age and gender. Her aspergers and message. Please don't fool yourself into thinking this has nothing to do with any of these things. It is all about these things.

It is about a young girl being smarter and more brave than adult men.

It is about a child schooling adults.

It is about a child with an intellectual disability having the mental capacity to understand what regular old men and women cannot.

Yes. She said how dare you. She should. She has a right to say everything she said. She has a right to call out world leaders who use climate change as political leverage.
Darkcuckoo · 26-30, M
@JaggedLittlePill you're currently talking to someone who also has asperger's sydrome. I love to study animals living and extinct and it hurts my soul that one field of study is getting bigger than the other due to extinction.

To me, she is the right messenger. But the world is a dark place and though i agree with her, others sadly may not and may attack her for those reasons. I myself wouldn't choose to be a messenger for this because I'm aware of the kinds of backlash I'd get. So despite everything, i applaud her for doing this despite people being terrible.
As0if · 22-25, F
Everyone can speak about it but what has she done to save our environment? I don't really know what she did , it's not like I did a research , just asking.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@As0if She is traveling the world to bring attention to it and speaking out about how we need to do more. What have you done?
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@JaggedLittlePill is she travelling by plane?
As0if · 22-25, F
@JaggedLittlePill Lol. Anyone can bring attention anywhere , but what people actually do - is what matters. Everyone is conscious about what's going on, but not everyone wants to act on it. If that girl does something that will affect our environment not just speak about it to raise awareness, because we are aware, then your statement would make sense. What have you done? Spoke to people and did nothing? So did I.
Reflection2 · 41-45, M
She is right and spot on with the climate change but her ways of pushing things ahead isn't practical. She, coming from a high living standard life style where most countries want to catch-up to that level of life style? How it's gonna work? I don't know?
She is a child who suffers from a mental anguish and has been deliberately exploited by her parents and the media. Rather than have this anguish addressed to bring her some peace, it has been manipulated politically.
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick shes not on this site! Shes a global star right now, Grendel something
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DrBenway Oh. Well that makes a lot more sense then. I thought you were talking about another user on SW.

For what I have seen I don't think agree what her family did or is doing with her
deadgerbil · 22-25
She's definitely raised attention for the environment.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@ChipmunkErnie Oh, the thumbs up was for the girl, not the poster.
