How to be a not clingy and attached person?! 😕🤔

SW-User
Clingy isn't bad, having boundaries is always good though.Being too clingy and attached=probably anxiety related.
So maybe work on the anxiety?🤔

I think it's possible that you may be looking to get from others what you lack from your inner self. If you're "clingy and attached", it means you are holding onto to someone, wanting love and approval almost desperately. I think anyway? So maybe if you find self love and acceptance, you would be less clingy. Just a thought. 💙

I love clingy dependent women.
Indeed, @Cutiepi23. I feel a "need" for someone who dumped me. Things don't always make 100% sense. But this common desire does. A lot of men need to be needed to feel secure, and I totally get it. There are roles we've all played without thinking about it. I've always been independent, but now I miss some guy every day who left me. The guy who was once "all in". Is this natural for me? No. But it certainly is difficult to say goodbye to him.

I also want someone who needs me. Because I want to need him. And I think that's okay. I want to risk everything for love. It just has to be the right person. And I don't think my ex is that person, but a girl can hope, and hope for better when it doesn't work out.

Which it won't.

So something else must.
@KayraJordyn Things have a way of working out. Just dont put alk your eggs in one basket.
Seriously.

First, love yourself.
Second, loosen your grip....if you have to cling to keep someone there, they aren’t worth it. ❤ 🤗
Enjoy your own company and pastimes. That way you wont need to cling on to anyone to feel happy.
rub yourself with dryer sheets or just be detached, find things to consume your time other than a said person. get your mind on other things so its not so obsessed over things.

It's so hard when you care so much. I guess just take it a day at a time?

What I do not understand is why would anyone not want to be themselves. There is someone for everyone if they are looking. And if they are not looking it doesn't matter.

Having hobbies to distract you and provide a separate source of self-esteem and pride helps a little.

I think the key is clinging to someone who doesn't mind it. :) And likes it?

But, within reason, of course!

Slow yet interesting process.
Start with questioning self about the acts you indulge in.
Learn how to be independent.
