@Ironicman don't remember that. Was possibly sung at me when Millwall attacked the pub I was in once. That was the worst football violence I was directly involved in.

Unsurprisingly most of my arrests involved the word alcohol. Weirdly since rehab I've never been arrested and whenever I've been in prison I've had keys on my hip.

@pennynoodles apologies. I wrote this rapidly coz I had to leave. What he told me was he can compete against the l8kes of the big tesco extra superstores but not their smaller tesco convenience stores that are opening ago in on the local high street in old pubs and a like.

Oh I see what you mean and agree that can be an issue. They are positioning those smaller stores in village high streets which stops the local people going to the more expensive smaller shops. @Ironicman

I believe that there is room for any enterprise. We all use supermarkets but are still free to use independent corner shops if we need to or want to. Choice is important.

Yes it is but with rising prices, I have seen the decline in the smaller shops in town centres. I am guilty myself of getting everything under one roof in the supermarket, simply because of ease and price. I do try to use my local store and I have to say, they are always very busy. @SW-User

Small stores cannot compete with prices but I use them when I can - They are Convenient and am important part of the local area.
