Why is it that when someone tells me "there's blame on all sides" it feels like they're trying to pardon the side that's actually at fault?

Depends how you see things, that remonds me a discussion we had in my psychology class where a woman has been killed by a crazy man on a bridge, there were many elements and characters in the story that I’m too lazy to write. But basically everyone’s faulty or no one really is

Hmm. I'll bow out of the discussion then, I guess, that's actually one of the last things that would ever have occurred to me from reading your question. I actually considered myself to be giving the benefit of the doubt by even admitting it as a valid interpretation of what you'd said, so I am clearly coming at the whole thing from a completely different angle of approach.
