Last week, a couple from Germany that bought my husband's deceased friends' Borgward car made a special trip to see where the former owner had lived & where the car had been stored. The German car club (7 Borgward's)made a USA cross country trip, via Route 66, ending in Santa Barbara, California. We had a wonderful visit. On the day they left for Santa Barbara, the woman complimented me on a bejeweled, costume jewelry eyeglass holder I always wear to hold my reading glasses. I asked her if she liked it & would she wear it. She nodded. I took it off & placed it to her. Her eyes got misty & was so touched by my gesture. You would have thought I had given her the Hope Diamond! I'm happy to know that we met & got to spend time getting to know each other, language barrier & all
