I Have a College Degree (am a College Graduate)

I don't know what to do with it. 馃槙
You have the whole world ahead of you! Wow! Good job. What are you interested in doing? A job in your field? Or more education? And you likely have student loans to pay off too. Have fun. The learning never ends.
emereese26-30
@PoetryNEmotion No student loans really. That's one of the problem, I'm not sure where would I like (the other one would be that there's so many choices infront of me that it's overwhelming. 馃槵
@emereese It is only natural to feel that way. I felt the same when I graduated from my college quite a while ago. It is a mixture of dread, excitement, sadness (leaving a particular setting and routine), fear, and more. Look into some of those choices. Choose which one makes you feel passion. You can try so many things. And people know when you are young and new. They will be happy to help you. You got this, girl. Take your time. Talk to people. They will give you ideas and advice.

@PoetryNEmotion Thank you very much! 馃尲

:) Follow your heart. Do you like working with people or do you prefer to work alone? Do you like waking to a new adventure every day or do you take comfort in repetition? Inside or outside? Do you prefer being in the spotlight or behind the curtain? Or in the audience? Do you have a strong need for financial security or are you a gambler? There are thousands of such self-questions, and some answers may or may not mesh with other answers, and the answers may change along the way. Most importantly, it's YOUR life, not someone else's. Success and happiness don't come in one step but by steps along a journey. As the song goes, it's the journey itself that's the destiny.
emereese26-30
@Heartlander Woah. That would really help me right now. Thank you very much 馃尲
Every time someone says they graduated college I immediately think high school lol people should stop using the term "college" to avoid confusion
chrisCAM
@Qwerty14 Canadians have absorbed American culture, even though we are part of the Commonwealth. We officially call them secondary schools, but most people refer to them as high schools. Grades 9 to 12.
What Americans call colleges, we call universities.
Canadian colleges are a different type of post secondary institution.
@chrisCA See that's even more confusing. Best avoid the word "college" altogether
chrisCAM
@Qwerty14 Maybe, but "College Football" has a nice ring to it. Lol

SW-User
Is there not a good selection of careers related to it?
emereese26-30
@SW-User There are. That's the problem. [sep]Too many choices. 馃槺
SW-User
@emereese There's time in life to sample the different options.
emereese26-30
@SW-User That's true. Thanks for answering 馃尲
chrisCAM
You're young. You have time to figure it out.
chrisCAM
@emereese Many people end up in careers that don't even relate to their field of study.
emereese26-30
@chrisCA I find that sad. I feel like those years in university is wasted but I might be wrong. 馃槙
chrisCAM
@emereese An education is never wasted. Maybe to those who think it is all about making money, or becoming a cog in a wheel.

Go back to College for another 4-6 years and get your Doctorate. then you can charge people $150 -$300 an hour to never get better. You can also prescribe medication to make sure they stay a perpetual client and source of income.
emereese26-30
