Sad you had to realize her true nature in such a cutting way. Rejection is difficult enough, without delivering it with cruel savagery. Though - her loss, your gain. Had you begun dating, in-time the real woman would've surely appeared; trampling on your heart and its honest devotion, like something stuck to her shoe.
Very impressed with your attitude and perspective, in using this as a stepping stone in growth and personal character. And your resolve in the face of absolute humiliation. Unsure if many could have been so noble.
