[Personal] I was asked privately what my username meant...

ᵀʰᵉ ʷᵃʸᶠᵃʳᵉʳˢ. ᶜʰᵃʳˡᵉˢ ᶠʳᵃᶜᵉ ᵇᵒʳⁿ ⁱⁿ ¹⁹²⁶ ᵉᵃˢᵗᵉʳⁿ ᴾᵉⁿⁿˢʸˡᵛᵃⁿⁱᵃ, ᶠʳᵉᵉˡᵃⁿᶜᵉ ⁱˡˡᵘˢᵗʳᵃᵗᵒʳ, ʷⁱˡᵈ ˡⁱᶠᵉ ᵉⁿᵗʰᵘˢⁱᵃˢᵗ, ᵃⁿᵈ ᵖʳᵒᶠᵉˢˢⁱᵒⁿᵃˡ ᵃʳᵗⁱˢᵗ. ᴾᵃⁱⁿᵗᵉᵈ ˢᵒᵐᵉʷʰᵉʳᵉ ᵇᵉᵗʷᵉᵉⁿ ¹⁹⁵⁶-¹⁹⁷³. ᶜᵒᵛᵉʳ ᵒᶠ ᵗʰᵉ ᵇᵒᵒᵏ ᵀʰᵉ ʷᵒˡᵛᵉˢ

...I referred them to the story of "The wayfaring stranger", which actually has even older references, with the old song by the same title.

Neither lithograph nor song is really the complete answer. Yet both are partly the answer.

My idea, back in the 1990's, was the concept of helping others. In no way was it's religious, in any way, as both the song and the story suggest.

More in the line of getting rid of; old ideas, prejudices, and ways of behaviors. To me those things are just wrong. Just as I find most religions support those; ideas, prejudices and ways of behaviors.

Yet if you listen to this song, you might get just why this is a lonely thing to do. In that way the song is totally right on. It's too bad that the song has such religious references.

Back in the 1990s, the internet was young. It was wild and USENET was a very, very dark place to be in. Full nasty, tricky trolls, that would stupe to tricks; like deleting your messages and unimaginable dark porn. Youtube and Facebook was just unheard of...

The first image was actually bought for me, by a well known survivor and counselor back then. It must have cost her plenty back then, since those lithographs were basically unknown.

This story, as well as the google links below, is why I still use this username.

Interesting. I like your user name.😊I've never heard of USENET?🤔From what you've just said about it, I'm glad I never knew! You've really worked hard on your profile, great job!⭐

@Peaches

Thank you. It took me a few years to choose this username. Still working on many things on my profile here. Including the photo albums. 🙃

USENET was around long before the www part of the internet.

It's still around today yet for the best access to it most use a for payment USENET servers.

Perhaps you know of the

mailto://

option of many browsers.

It's apart of the http:// or https:// part of the internet, aka protocol.

Well "IF" your browser as well as your internet service provider is capable of it, which most of either don't now days, USENET can be accessed through the:

news://

internet protocol. Otherwise you have to get a separate program/app and actually pay for the USENET service.

WARNING though. It's still a very rude/impolite/scary/highly-sexualized internet protocol. Very few can deal with it. That's including those that are on the darknet which is totally different.

No real spam on the darknet. Totally spam filled on USENET. So you MUST know how to deal with spam from every dark corner of the world.

It's REALLY BAD now. And nothing can be done about it other than a better knowledge of how to filter.

@DeWayfarer Thanks...you've talked me out of EVER going there!🤣

@Peaches I noticed another user on here has gone on to discord and a couple of other lesser known controversial sites just to cause trouble.

I have no idea how she is doing on it, yet it would be the end of her trolling if she went on to USENET.

She just doesn't have the knowledge to protect herself. Where on those sites they hide her identity a bit.

You're not the troll that she is though. Yet if she's not watching this conversation I would totally be surprised!

Hence why I put this info up! She thinks she's the ultimate internet policeman with her VIP accounts! 😈🙃

No one on this post. She's lurking though. And probably following this whole post.

@DeWayfarer Yeah, those kind of people are often the most unhappy.😔To be pitied really.
