Aren’t you fed up with the media?

Everything is wrong according to them. Whatever anyone tries to do in this crisis is wrong. All they can do is to sow division and hatred in society. While they do nothing to help,
AbbeyRhode · F
I've been done with them for a few years now. They really are the enemy of the people.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Yes, this was long foretold when Corporate media started getting bigger and buying each other up and merging together. The government didn't care, they signed off on this in the 80's and 90's.

This was well prophesied. See any pundit or comedian working at the time. See the movie "Network". Listen to the song "Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley, it's all there.

They are a business, and as such, their primary focus is making money.

Sowing discord, purposefully misdirecting, and using pundits to deliver opinion instead of actual news is all part of the plan. If you aren't outraged then you aren't paying attention!

If you are paying attention, well perfect. Now please sit still so we can sell you a bunch of overpriced junk and services you don't need.

In addition it seems as though 995 are pushing the same political agenda. How do they get the same message so fast? Is the DNC telling them what to say? Is someone else telling the DNC and media what to say? It’s no coincidence that it is the same message. @SumKindaMunster
@jackjjackson Lol. It is adorable how you think the Democrats and the GOP have a separate agenda.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson The absolutely coordinate the message. And that is the correct word, either the "message" or the "narrative".

It's all about misdirection, distraction, suppression and distortion.

It's all the same news. But how they deliver it, what they focus on, what they overlook, what they emphasize, all that is totally coordinated to deliver the same message or narrative from 995 of 1000 media companies out there.

The remaining 5 are mocked as conspiracy sites and shamed and oppressed by the rest of the MSM.

99% of the media sucks and not in the good way.

Without free media, we would be like China, North Korea, Belarus, Saudi Arabia, Iran and a few other places around the world, where no one would want to live.

Let's not forget history, as we are bound to repeat it. Sure, the President does not want the media to hold him responsible, but we the people need the free media.

As to "everything" wrong, sure, let's pretend we don't have a pandemic, the West is on fire, the lies of the sitting President and the racial/socio-economic unrest sweeping the nation. All is good, nothing is happening.
lisawife · 70-79, F
Yes agreed. But the media has to be responsible and they are not@Northwest
Northwest · M
@lisawife Some are responsible and some are not. But I guess it all depends on your definition of responsible.
sassypants · 36-40, F
Yes they are so dishonest and sway the public into believing whatever they want us to.
texasdaddydom · 56-60, M
because conflict sells fear sells if it bleeds it leads...so when profit margin is the only thing that matters this is what is the result
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
It's how they make their money. Its no longer about giving objective looks at the news, it's about creating sensationalism to bring in views. This is why you have partisan news sources like CNN and FOX, they give their viewer demographics what they WANT to hear to keep those views and ratings coming in.

So many know or do not care about what they're doing, division = money and more division which = money etc etc. Radicalising people is profitable and just creates more "news" for them.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
The Corporate News Media exists, like reruns of Gilligan's Island, to sell advertising. Fear works best.

The so-called "news" anchors are swinging in the wind blown from the a$$es of the station owners, who are,(almost), all shills for the Democrat party in the United States. They are now the American equivalent of Pravda in the former Soviet Union...they only play the music the "State" tells them to play.

They will refuse to report news that does not fit in with the Democrat Socialist/Marxist agenda, and gleefully change whatever they wish, even going so far as to cherry pick segments of video as they did with Nathan Phillips, who sued their crooked lying rear ends and won.
texasdaddydom · 56-60, M
@4meAndyou wrong it both sides being played against each other.think about how the Clintons and trump were best buds for years up until the last election cycle. always praising each other show up at the same events even at the Epstein's the left and right are fucking the middle and the more polarized we get the easier it is for them.
4meAndyou · F
@texasdaddydom I think some things have changed. Don't you?

Sure, the media helps further the divide but they didn’t create it. The media gives us what we want and we want division. We want an evil other side we can blame all our problems on.
KimmyGary · F
True.they spread rascism and hate instead of dicouraging it must have bad news
There is a certain amount of that. In the media just like in the US government neo liberalism is the ideology of the day. The rest is bread and circus. That doesn't however mean reporting on a government completely divorced from reality is sowing division, it is accurate.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
No, I am inspired by the media.
GoodManHere · 51-55, M
I have messaged you.. Please respond to it
callmecrazy · 46-50, F
