Best advice for a newly wed man?

Top | New | Old
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
The same Id give to a newly wed woman...
There will be days you’ll give 100% and get 0% in return. Days you’ll have to swallow your pride, and quite possibly some crow as well.
Just remember why you fell in love, and know that every relationship changes over time. Change isn’t always a bad thing. It’s usually difficult, but the best things don’t come easy, and in order to grow, you’ll have to take the bad with the good. Good luck🌸

Discuss the marriage roles. You as the man must be the head of the house.

@hippyjoe1955 do you really think these stereotype gender roles are part of the human nature? I think you mix these two things up

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout 😂😂😂😂 ouch
Keyword: communication. I didn't realize how important that was until after I got married.

Be honest about each other’s strengths & weaknesses. It’s important to trust each other enough to let whoever is best suited in situations take charge at that time. Don’t confuse that though with only one having final say in things. You two are a team and want to work like one. Keeping connected takes effort so try not to get lazy in doing things for one another. The little things add up & end up mattering a lot.
