I Love Photography

Just a few photos from a long walk the other day.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@pennynoodles he is into it as well? I was concerned at one point, couldn't really figure out why my photos looked fuzzy. Someone pointed out that the camera may have an image stabilizer, but wind moving the subject, aka a flower, will still move, so I started shooting with faster shutter speeds.

@samueltyler2 we saw this in a clearing next to the road. I have no idea what happened, or why. I can only assume a tree or trees came down, the town cut them up and left them, then someone came and threw straw on top. Not a clue why anyone would go that far.

How bizarre; I hope there isn't a body under there. @samueltyler2

@pennynoodles you are worse than I. I thought sci-fi not murder.

Those are very clear photos - some sort of macro lens I assume? My botanical identification skills are limited, but I wonder if the white flowers are Star of Bethlehem.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
I've been on a photography course now so I can use it manually too but I just love to be out there in nature without taking it too seriously. @samueltyler2

@pennynoodles an artist friend of mine, she draws, paints and sculpts once asked if insee the world as a photo. I had never thought of it before she asked. I guess I do. My wife gets angry when I stop and put take photos. Setting the exposure isnt complex, and with digital, doesn't cost anything else.

I have a steadier hand than my husband... it shows in our photos....@samueltyler2
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
The closeups give new perspective on things we take for granted
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Yes, it is therapeutic to get out there with nature. @NewKidInTown
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
lovely! isn't it amazing when a weed that drives us insane can look so beautiful when in a macro?
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Such a striking yellow colour. I saw some in a wood the other day that were the tallest I think I have ever seen. They were struggling to reach the sunny spot above. @samueltyler2
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@pennynoodlesyes, this one was bright yellow. we seem to be having a bumper crop. they look pretty at times, but the broad leaves really foul up a lawn.

this is on my azalea bush, taken with the 50-250 mm Z kit lens:

pennynoodles · 56-60, F
What a stunning colour. @samueltyler2
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
Those are truly stunning pics! And I am dead envious as I really cannot get the hang of taking good close up pics..macro defeats me! You've done it brilliantly! I especially love the dandelion - you've framed it so well
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
It was bigger, I cropped all the blurry background out. I need to start taking my proper macro lens out with me and a tripod. Such a pain to carry everything though. @Adaydreambeliever
Ironicman · 56-60, M
Superb collection capturing the season magnificently. Now Penny, please reassure me you weren't out for more than an hour, you kept distance and washed your hands when you got home.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Of course.......... 🤪@Ironicman
bartender · 36-40, M
Gorgeous. What camera / phone did u use?
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
It's good enough for what I want to do. I would like a longer lens really but they are very expensive. @bartender
bartender · 36-40, M
@pennynoodles I own a nikon basic camera. N the results are fab.. I can imagine what it wud be like with a nikon d750 and a bigger lens
bartender · 36-40, M

Really incredible especially the dandelion seed grass flower
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
I thought I did well not to wobble as I didn't have my tripod with me. @Peppa

pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Thank you a Nikon D7100. Not super expensive or anything. @ExperienceDLT
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
Lovely! Have you blue tits again this year?
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Actually we don't but it is probably because we were working down the garden for two months right under the birdboxes, just as they would've been setting up. A bit gutted really. However, my husband makes the bird boxes ad gives them away and four people have got bluetits in theirs! @AntisocialTroll
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
@pennynoodles Aww that's a shame, good to know others have got em because of Mr N's boxes though.
