Those are very clear photos - some sort of macro lens I assume? My botanical identification skills are limited, but I wonder if the white flowers are Star of Bethlehem.

I just used a 18-105mm lens and zoomed in. Next time I go out, I might take a proper Macro lens with me. @sciguy18

@pennynoodles Just my opinion, the only advantage of a "macro lens," is that it is a primary lens, so may be a little bit crisper. Today's zooms, however, are so sharp, that the difference would be difficult to see in the original, when posted on he internet, the resolution is so low as to make they difference impossible to tell. I love my new Nikon Z50, it is so light d the 2 kit lenses o light that putting a macro lens would change the ergonomics entirely.

Oh okay @samueltyler2

@pennynoodles I really didn't mean anything negative. It is just that macro lenses are very expensive, and in my opinion, not really worth the expense. Your photos made with your telephone zoom are superb.

I never took it as negative, honestly. I think I've said before that I just love to take photos and think I have a reasonable eye. I don't know the technical side of it so I am happy to hear your thoughts. @samueltyler2

@pennynoodles I have several books on the basics of photography, and there are many useful YouTube's. I also lost and look on uglyhedgehog.com and dpreview.com. I almostbnevervude the automatic setting on my camera, varying aperture, ISO and/or shutter speed to get whatbi i want.

I've been on a photography course now so I can use it manually too but I just love to be out there in nature without taking it too seriously. @samueltyler2

@pennynoodles an artist friend of mine, she draws, paints and sculpts once asked if insee the world as a photo. I had never thought of it before she asked. I guess I do. My wife gets angry when I stop and put take photos. Setting the exposure isnt complex, and with digital, doesn't cost anything else.

I have a steadier hand than my husband... it shows in our photos....@samueltyler2
