I Am Screwed

My glasses just broke and I cannot afford to buy new ones. The awesomeness that is my life just gets better.

Repair them Harry Potter style, or start a go fund me thing to get new ones

@AlphaPuppy I wish I were a wizard. Stupid me for being a muggle.
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
@bunnyXbunny haha I forgot about the magic, I just meant use a plaster
bunnyXbunny · 36-40, M
@AlphaPuppy They're too far gone for that.

@bunnyXbunny drill a hole in either face of the break, add a dowel and glue it
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
Just remember to use an extremely fine drillbit and a dowel that's either permeable to the glue, or keyed in so the glue has something to grip. Your best bet is to use a fine threaded rod and an epoxy resin based glue rather than cyanoacrylate especially with a plastic frame

@AlphaPuppy Thanks for the tip. I have to google exactly everything you just said but I'll try it.
@AlphaPuppy speaking of McGyver!

@Mamapolo2016 nah just someone who dabbles in restoring antiques
Fifty years is antique, right? I got this bad knee..
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
@Mamapolo2016 haha technically it has to be a hundred, but I'd give it a try.. No promises regarding the result though
A hundred? I thought it was 25 for cars and fifty for everything else.
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
@Mamapolo2016 25 years makes a car a classic, not an antique. Over 30 years old makes something vintage but the definition of antique is over a hundred years, at least that's the case in the UK and Europe as well as a majority of the world
I am pleased to hear that ... I may be a period piece, but I’m shy of antique. It’s the little things that make life worth the fight.
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
@Mamapolo2016 vintage is all the rage these days
Maybe, but the Tiffany lampshade hat isn’t really working for me.
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
@Mamapolo2016 I've never been particularly impressed by tiffany things to be honest, I prefer good old British quality
Well, I’m a Yankee fake macaroni and we don’t know from quality. tiffany’s Way too heavy. Gonna try a lava lamp next.

@Mamapolo2016 careful, those get hot, they're full of oil and molten wax
Rofl. Girls from the 60s are too...thanks for the fun😉
