Dont take it personal. I had a lot of close friends express anger or sadness because i didnt invite them but the truth is my husband and i both have big families and we just couldnt afford above a certain number. And there are rules to follow like if i invite one cousin i have to invite them all, plus their partners.

I didnt tell any of them directly either. Now that i think of it i should have, but there is just so much details to think about and for a lot, if not most, weddings are more of a family affair.
