I Keep My Circle Small

I do.
I tend to prefer genuine friendships to superficial interactions and I find it hard to maintain those when my circle grows beyond a certain level. Which is why I don't add people easily. I normally take my time, unless there's that spark, that instant connection. Sometimes the connection turns into a beautiful friendship, at others it withers and fades for lack of communication.
I also tend to remove people from my circle if they're either rude or they stop communicating. I don't require daily essays, but if they don't show any interest in maintaining some form of communication, I will simply delete them.
Life is too short and time is too precious to waste on people who are not willing to make an effort to stay in touch.

I'm more selective than I was on EP....I have some on there now but they never communicate with me. If they approach me first I assume they will initiate some sort of dialogue. But I don't think any of them have...so I am about to clean out....

I think we all tended to be less selective on EP. The few real friendships I have forged on EP have remained solid even after EP shut down its doors, I'm hoping the new ones I am forging here will be as solid.

Me too, but so far it hasn't been that way...

ironically, the ones I have been forging friendships with on here used to be on EP but we never talked there.

I haven't found many EP refugees in here yet...

I think most here used to be on EP, but there were so many users on there it was hard to keep track of the ones we never interacted with or came across in either stories or comments, not to mention the ones who are here with new names looking for a fresh start.
