I Had a Seizure
I had a seizure today at work. Thankfully, I'd just finished teaching a class and was on my way back to my office when I got the aura. I managed to make it to the student support office which is halfway between my classroom and office and is where the first aiders are located. Barely made it but I did and that's the main thing.
I made it through the rest of my day at work. My department head wanted me to go home but I had a class this afternoon that I've been planning for ages and didn't want to hand over to a sub.
After being brave enough to tell my sort of boyfriend about my epilepsy last night I continued the honesty theme and told him what happened and he's insisting on coming over after his ridiculously intense gym session (one thing I don't understand about him 馃槀)
I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'm used to just looking after myself after a seizure and sleeping it off etc. It's kind of weird to have somebody want to check in and look after me. But I guess it's better than the alternative. Yesterday I was scared of telling him in case I scared him away.
