I Am Depressed

I slept for 8 hours but feel as if I didn't sleep at all. I need to eat but can't find motivation to get dressed and go to the store. I don't feel like eating anyway because that stuff goes rather up my throat. I would go for a walk but what for if I can't enjoy anything about it like before? I can't find a single thing that could make me feel really happy inside.

Here are Few things that work for me.
1.force yourself to do some few body stretches and jog(force-motivate yourself if you have to). Do i with a forced committed and happy mindset. You can have some music to power you up

2.then shut down anything noisy and sit, close your eyes and take deep breaths..rapidly at first and then slow down..pay attention to the breaths. As you do this, picture like youre pushing out that huge lump on your throat. also tell yourself how strong you are and mere thoughts cannot bring you down (mean it).

3. get up smilling and thinking positive of yourself and rush to the shower. Have that shower with all happiness and picture like youre actualy washing and negative thoughts with it and theyre going doing the drain

4. get out and treat yourself to the best clothes you have, wear the perfume too and generally dress your best.(the goal is t introduce happiness in everything)

5. Now look around your room. Perhaprs its not well lit. Open all the blinds and curtains let the sun in..natural light and air are good healers. (have bulbs with the best lighting at night as well). cLean everything in the room, remove stuffs that are clogging your room space, place everything in its right place, dust and do the best cleaning you can

6; you must be hungry by now. Go out to the store and get that food..all along the way dont look at how happy people are and feel sorry for yourself. Instead walk with a genuine smile and take note of the simple things around that make you feel alive and happy, maybe they bring good memory. dont pick attitudes from people trying to be mean..instead just laugh inwardly and think that they are just grumpy

7; after the meal, walk back slowly enjoying the little things you see and if possible sit under a tree at a park or open field. Enjoy some good outdoor time here. DONT LOOK AT YOUR PHONE ALL THIS TIME. FB, INSTAGRAM trigger ssome negative emotions you dont want. After youve had enough outdoor go back and pick maybe a movie or your favorite type of documentaries or something(not phone though). If you start feeling th lump on your throat anytime, take deep breaths.

I have left out a lot but This routine will help to reduce depression and loneliness and anger or anxiety. I use it to keep myself going. It will definitely induce a positive mentality and happiness in your life no matter how small it is.

@silentkev Thank you. :)
I know that most of this helps, but you should know that "genuine smile" part isn't possible. It would be always fake smile if I had to force it.

4. perfume isn't the best option for me because sometimes I get nausea from any synthetic aromas. Fresh flowers or aromatic herbs would help more. Rosemary is fine.

5. is the best, I always do that. I did it in the morning too.

@CrazyMusicLover im glad you are already following some of these. Always keep your head up whenever these emotions are bringing you down. Its the worst feeling in the world. But once you have your way of fighting youre good to go

@LittleEvilOne Thank you for encouraging words. I'm sorry it's that bad for you. Do you know why does that happen to you? I used to be like this for years until I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid. That explained lack of energy and the treatment really helped me but I messed up my eating habits and sleeping schedule recently and here I am again.

@LittleEvilOne I've never been to a psychiatrist so I don't know what they would diagnose me with. How do they diagnose you actually? Is it based on what you say and/or what other people say about you?
My father suffers from depression so I'm not completely alone in this but nobody understands my struggle with neuroticism and sensory overload. They don't understand that sounds, smells or visual things that they don't even notice get onto my nerves to the point that I get ill-tempered or openly angry.

But you have to break this, and start from somewhere.

@ABCDEF7 I really wish I had a beach nearby. Salty aerosol and the sound of the surge make wonders.

Banning sweets should be probably the number one because I feel it contributes to getting depressed in the first place.

Thank you. :)

@CrazyMusicLover I am sure you will overcome this.
