I was proud of how Biden collected everyone under his umbrella and actually shocked when several politicians conceded to him and aligned against Bernie. Many Bernie fans I believe were shocked also but voted for him unlike how many abandoned the election previously. I think Bernie’s obvious affection for Joe made a huge difference.

@Pfuzylogic You’ll see a lot of voters who tow the party line, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing if that party consistently represents your values. The democrats had a good mix of those, ready to support a candidate who upholds democratic values, even if it’s not their first choice. But also a lot of people who were ready to just be done with Trump. Combine that with many swing voters losing faith in Trump for a perceived botching of handling the COVID situation and it was a perfect storm for a Biden presidency.

Biden was the candidate of choice in the beginning and then the slander of sexual assault started and he lost some major momentum. Imagine losing momentum to the person that had an actual court case with Epstein for rape. This country frightens me when name calling and lies can overtake a man’s record for advocating the unprotected. LGBTQ+ could not have a bigger advocate even in the Obama administration,

@Pfuzylogic My fear was something would happen to Trump and we’d end up with president Pence, who supports gave conversion therapy and claims God talks to him. Not like a regular man of faith, I mean he sounds schizophrenic.

@Straylight he's honestly doing better than I thought. Maybe not as good as I wanted, but better than I thought. It almost feels weird to not have a scandal ringing out right now. Like people are talking about him stumbling on stairs or his decision to push restrictions on vaccine patents for covid-19. The news cycle around him feels so much slower, from supporters and antagonists alike.

I came from Hoosier land and know him very well. He did support laws that were anti LGBTQ+. The Justices that support the type of appeals Pence cases would initiate were nominated and approved during the trump/McConnell team up. I don’t think much was gained by keeping trump in there and definitely the “1776” attack would not have been carried out by the “deplorables” from trump’s lying tweets. Sorry I call them deplorables and not a cute name like trumpster and pence while stupid was harmless as a puppy!
