I Am Infuriated By Some People

My mother in law. 🤬

How is it that my father in law makes 25 dollars an hour to support him and his wife, yet they are constantly borrowing money from ME who has no job and no income??? 🤔

The money I have is the money I've saved and held on to for months, keeping it for my and my fiance's necessities and pet supplies until I can get out of this house. Yet every week my MIL asks to borrow it!!!

She blows all of her money on playing Bingo, buying lottery tickets, eating out 2-3 times a day EVERY DAY, buying cigarettes, and running up credit card and pawn shop debt...then comes to ME when she runs out and needs to buy basic household stuff like propane for the stove (our only way to prepare meals).

I FUCKING HATE THIS WOMAN!!!😡😡😡

I was laid off 2 years ago and lost my home. She insisted we move here. I agreed, thinking I could find work here and move back within a year. But this is an economic dead zone and there ARE NO JOBS. So now we are stuck here and my MIL controls everything and it fucking sucks. I've been trying to find a way out of here for 2 years. @Budwick lunch ticket? They borrow from ME, not the other way around. My fiance and I live on MY savings. They pay household bills only, which they would have to pay anyway regardless of if we lived here or not. Nice try tho.

You aren't paying rent... and the utility bills are, in fact, higher with you and your fiance living there.

They do pay a mortgage (I assume) and they don't have full reign of the house because they are sharing it with you.

You sound resourceful enough, having put money away. I must agree Bud here that you could do yourself a huge favor and use your energy to find a way out.

Unless you really don't want to....

Edit: after I wrote this, I see that the house is paid for. They've earned it. So, while personally, I think they should be more gracious... they are borrowing from you instead of paying rent.

@JoeyFoxx none of that excuses the way they are to us. We cook, clean (even their part of the house), and take care of their pets (feeding, bathing, walking, and grooming). We earn our keep, it's not like we're lying around sponging off them. They sponge off us!!
